Dearest Nicolle,
I am writing this letter to show you my gratitude for all that you and your father did on our unfortunate and unplanned, though eventually a beautiful and unforgettable trip on June 21, 2011. Our interactions with you and your father will be the sweetest memory of our trip!
My husband, my 2 kids, 3 and 5, and I excitedly left Stockton at around 10:00 am on June 21, 2011 on our way to Emerald Bay, never expecting the trouble that was waiting ahead of us! We were about an hour away from our destination when all of a sudden; we heard a strange sound from our car, a strong odor and then lots and lots of smoke. Immediately, my husbanded drove off the 50 east to the first exit of Pollock Pines. After some thought, we didn’t think it was safe for us to drive the car. I searched for a mechanic in the area through my phone. The first one listed was “Twisted Metal Towing” and called the number immediately. You answered the phone and said you would be there within half hour, which you did.
When you and your father arrived, you guys got to work at once. The problem, which was an issue with the transmission which was already rebuilt a few months ago, was diagnosed within just a half hour. Since we were unable to drive, a tow truck was needed, along with deciding whether to continue with our plans for our trip or cancel and go home. In the midst of my husband and me making all the calls to arrange this, you and your father waited with us, entertaining our kids with videos from your phone or having them pick wild flowers, giving them drinks and snacks! I was so overwhelmed with this kindness and care, but then you went further out of your way to help us: You waited for our tow truck to arrive, drove us to 3 different car rentals which was out of your way, helped us transfer all of our camping and other belongings to the rented car. Though we only paid for half hour of service, you stayed with us for almost 4 hours, driving us place to place, with a smile and love as you entertained and helped carry our exhausted girls! A few sentences cannot describe what all you did for us and I wish there was a way to repay you for your kindness.
Without you there, our girls wouldn’t be able to have their first experience camping, which they were looking forward for so long! We ended up going to a campsite which was a closer destination recommended by you! I can truly say you and your Father were God-sent!
Again, I have no words that could be enough to thank you for all that you have done! I could have never imagined meeting someone like you that took customer service to a level of amazement! I would like to apologize for any inconvenience we had caused you and your father, as you both were too sweet to say anything to make us feel like burden for you! Our girls spoke of you on our trip back and remembered all the great time they spent with you! Our time with you will never be forgotten!
